I've bought a new Samsung E256 and I wanted to share my experience with it. The phone has great things and other not so good, but the cost/benefit equation is great.

Some weeks ago I've bought I Samsung E256 through Movistar. I was very happy with my new phone that promised to have multiple features and things that I never had I other phones I had owned (Mainly Nokia phones). I was so happy that two days after buying the phone I bought a 2GB MicroSD and installed it willing to put some music and programs in my new toy. Here you can see some pictures:

Even when this doesn't have much to do with this post subject I would like to say that Samsung E256 graphic interface and functionality is pretty easy to use and it has a lot of very useful functions. I believe that the main disadvantage is the lack of USB 2.0 interface, doing file upload to the phone very difficult.

The camera is VGA, so it cannot be used as a real camera, but since I own a very good one myself, I had no point to pay extra for an integrated camera to my phone even when I sometimes miss one.

The calendar and alarm functionality is pretty good and you can configure a lot of different things in this aspect. You have even the possibility to synchronize your PIM with a PC via the USB cable.

One of the greatest things of this phone is that even with a very low price it accepts 2GB micro SD cards, it comes with an excellent FM Radio receiver and a MP3 player to listen to your favourite music.

The bad thing: The lack of USB 2.0

The good thing: The radio and the abbility to support 2Gb micro SD cards
